Sustainability is Grey

At our core, we believe sustainability isn't black and white—it exists in the grey areas where real progress happens. We're committed to making conscious choices that benefit both our customers and the planet.

Every product we create is thoughtfully designed with environmental impact in mind. From sourcing sustainable ingredients to using eco-friendly packaging, we're constantly evolving our practices.

We understand that perfection is impossible, but progress is achievable. That's why we're transparent about our journey and committed to continuous improvement.

Sustainability: Not a Label, But a Journey

Our sustainability journey encompasses every aspect of our business—from the ingredients we choose to the communities we support. We believe in creating products that are good for you and good for the world.

We're not perfect, and we don't claim to be. What we are is committed to doing better every day, making choices that align with our values, and being honest about our progress.

Join us on this journey as we continue to explore the grey areas of sustainability, always striving to make a positive impact on the world around us.

Breaking Down the Buzzwords

Plastic Neutral

This term refers to a commitment to remove as much plastic from the environment as a company puts into it. Companies achieve plastic neutrality by measuring their plastic footprint and then investing in plastic recovery projects.

  • Measure total plastic usage across operations
  • Invest in certified plastic recovery programs
  • Support ocean cleanup initiatives
  • Partner with recycling organizations

Plastic Positive

A slightly more ambitious version of plastic neutrality. Here, a brand collects more plastic than it uses, offsetting its own footprint and then some.

  • Adds an extra layer of responsibility to waste management
  • Still focused mainly on one piece of the sustainability puzzle: plastic

Carbon Neutral

Now we’re talking big picture.

Carbon neutrality means calculating every unit of carbon dioxide (and other greenhouse gases) emitted across your operations-right from sourcing raw materials, to manufacturing, transportation, warehousing, and even digital footprints, and then balancing that impact by funding verified carbon offset projects.
Think reforestation.Renewable energy. Clean cookstoves. Wind and solar. The goal isn’t to ignore the impact—it’s to account for it. Honestly. Transparently. And to take responsibility.

Why it matters?
Carbon emissions are a root cause of climate change. They affect air quality, global temperature, sea levels, and ecosystems. When a brand becomes carbon neutral, it’s making a direct contribution to climate action—beyond just cleaning up its own mess. It’s about acknowledging the invisible footprint and taking active steps to neutralize it.
At Checko Facecare, we chose to become Carbon Neutral because we believe beauty shouldn’t come at the cost of the planet. We looked at our emissions across every stage of our business, worked with certified partners to reduce what we could, and offset what we couldn’t (yet) eliminate.
It wasn’t the easiest path—but it’s the one that felt right.

Net Zero

This is the summit. The ultimate goal.
Net Zero means cutting down your greenhouse gas emissions to nearly zero through radical reduction—not just offsetting. You only rely on offsets as a very last resort, for emissions that are nearly impossible to eliminate.

  • It demands major changes in operations, supply chains, and energy sourcing
  • It's long-term, complex, and often industry-wide
  • But it’s where the world needs to go - and where we, at Checko, aim to be.

Why We Chose Carbon Neutrality (For Now)

At our core, we believe in taking responsibility for our environmental impact. Carbon neutrality represents our commitment to balancing the carbon dioxide we emit with an equivalent amount removed from the atmosphere.

This isn't just about meeting standards—it's about creating a sustainable future for generations to come. Every product we create, every decision we make, is filtered through the lens of environmental responsibility.

We understand that true sustainability is a journey, not a destination. That's why we're continuously improving our processes, sourcing materials responsibly, and investing in renewable energy solutions.

Sustainability Is Not a Badge. It’s a Promise.

For us, sustainability isn’t about chasing buzzwords or joining trends. It’s about making honest, thoughtful decisions - even if they’re hard. Even if they’re grey. It’s okay to not be perfect. But it’s not okay to pretend we are. We’ll keep it transparent. We’ll keep it real. And we’ll keep showing up for the planet.
